I SWEAR this is true: Many years ago, when I saw "A Christmas Carol", an eery feeling came over me that I would wind up like Tiny Tim...on a cane. I "blew it off" and now, many years later, due to physical circumstances beyond my control, it happened along with some other things. I have a physical handicap, but I never was told of that possibility or never knew it could happen. It changed my life severly at first. I couldn't believe that life had taken such a drastic turn for me ( I was about to be 42 the summer of the yr. it happened). I asked myself why someone didn't tell me this could happen--an othopedic surgeon or SOMEBODY--so that I could have planned my life a different way. I learned to take life one day at a time, as we all must and to NEVER take ANYTHING for granted. I think I did that a LITTLE BIT before...I don't now. Even little things mean a lot--this is no "sympathy wagon" crucade...I'm answering what you wanted to know.

My greatest fears are failing at anything and falling in love and both of those have happened.

It changed my outlook because I realized that I can survive failing and I can survive a heart break but it didn't change that I'm afraid. I still fear these things, more than ever, because I know it hurts.

yes, seeing a kid who wants to beat me to the ground. I have never been in a fight, so i have no idea what to do, and it has changed my outlook on life by making me want to do better , and to go farther in life, while knowing that he is sitting around doing nothing but drinking and smoking.

No, and good thing they haven't because my fears are usually terribly irrational. Like waking up from a nightmare of being chased by a giant arachnid... if that ever comes true, I'll be sure to update this answer, ASAP!
