ok so im in my final year of highschool and i wanna become a airline pilot and i have a question about some courses i should take.i have taken and passed grade 12 physics and now im taking a computer programming class. will that class help me at all in becoming a pilot or is it useless in becoming a pilot?

It wont' be of a lot of use....nor will physics for that matter....other than both will teach you HOW to learn....but almost any course does this. I found that anything to do with spacial awareness was of help....as is geometry...and surprisingly...geography. Before you get a commercial pilot's license you need a private license...and this invloves ground school (a lot of math) and navigation/mechanics and aeronautical engineering. None of these is offered in high school....but you won't be ill served by computer programming.

I've always heard that most airline pilots start off as military pilots.
