I would give it to Manning the records he holds are more on the statistical side. Big Ben and Marino have wierd records. Look on Nfl.com under history.

I have been a Steelers' fan my whole life, and am not just saying this because I am such a big fan, but I have to go with Big Ben Roethlisberger. He was no doubt the greatest rookie ever, especially with the way that he got the starting job. He went 16-1 as a starter (including the playoffs), and that is just incredible. He also showed great poise, and was nearly unbeatable as the leader and quarterback of the Steelers his rookie season.

I would say definitely not Big Ben, he had a great defense and run game, not a great arm. Marino was unbelievable in his early years, so I would have to take him as a rookie QB. But overall, I would rather have Manning on my team over his career than anyone else in history.

Mnning was average at best and Big Ben just didn't have the numbers even though he did reach the Super Bowl. So Marino because ha had pretty good numbers and still got into the Super Bowl

Well Ben won the Super Bowl as a rookie, but had unimpressive numbers, Manning and Marino, were unreal in their first years, but if you count individual effort it's Marino, if you look at the team aspect it's Ben.
Other players have had rookie year success, including a couple of above-average Joe's (Montana & Namath).

Big Ben hands down. No other rookie QB ever went 12-1 in his rookie season.

Rookie season, it's hard to top Rothelsberger, unless you can count Tom Brady's first year as a starter? Tom Terrific won the super bowl and super bowl MVP his first season as a starter, but it was his second or third year on the Patriots when he did it. He took over part way through the 2001 season when Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury.
I believe Manning had a slow start to his career.
Rothelsberger DID NOT win the superbowl his rookie year. He did have a fantastic year, winning something like 12 games in a row - I believe it was the Patriots who finally beat the Steelers in the AFC championship game that year (2004?)

Marino: 58.4% completion, 20/6 TD/INT ratio, 2 rushing TDs, 2210 yds, made the playoffs, made the Pro Bowl
Manning: 56.7% completion, 26/28 TD/INT ratio, 3739 yds, no playoffs, no Pro Bowl
Roethlisberger: 66.4% completion, 17/11 TD/INT ratio, 1 rushing TD, 2621 yds, made the playoffs, no Pro Bowl.
Statistics alone, Roethlisberger. All things considered, Marino.
