There are lovely people everywhere.Sometimes you have to put your shyness aside and make the effort. Next time your at the bus stop or in a shop or bank anywhere that there is other people just ask them a question or make a comment you will start a conversation I do this everywhere I go and have met lovely people all over the world. Trust your own instinct and keep yourself safe. Not everyone will be nice but the ones that aren't are probably just having a bad day.

I reckon you might be pleasantly surprised if you did strike up a chat at the bus stop. (dont bother on the tube in london though, I never had any luck and I can talk the hind legs of the proverbial!) (Oh I did get one bloke masturbate near me once though. Mm.)
If up north in the UK it'll usu work, but wherever u are just make some comment and do it in the spirit of really really truly not giving a monkeys whether they think you're a twerp or not. You know you aint and that's what matters! Enjoy the human race, mostly its a wonderful thing.

I think this is a good way for some people to communicate. You're right, would'nt it be nice if people talked more to eachother? Say good morning and stuff, there are so many miserable faces when i get the bus to work. Imagine if all the people on the bus were to have a good old sing song, wicked!

Yep people can be great sometimes and here at Yahoo we have a fair ammount of great guys & girls. We range like society in age, religion and ethnic group,i myself am a bit of an oldie at 40.But it is nice here without reading obscene or racist material ,and everybody just trying to help eachother. When you go to the bus stop the people there are just like you, i'm sure if you just said good morning on entering the que you will get a pleasant reply. If not just come back here at Yahoo where all of us young and old!! will always speak are minds in a pleasant and helpful way.

I love to help - if I can –
& I don't have a problem asking for help.

& YES, I wish that I could find these nice people here where I live.
I live in a place that people are cold & emotionless.
They do not want to know you.
Therefore, Yahoo people are a very good compensation for me.

We do try are best to help people in need, some people dont have time to help others at all. They would walk straight past them with out a second look. Thats why we have YA.

I find people on here more helpful than 'out there' but I have a theory.

People on here ask for help - so they get it. Out there people rarely ask for help - so it takes a crisis or a disaster before people offer - what a sad place this is. Perhaps we should learn something from this.
