One of my aquaintences took my car without my consent to run an errand for his girlfriend and ended up blowing out two of my tires and causing some damage to the lower ends of my car. What do i need to do to make sure he pays and compensates for everything that needs to be compensated for?

Because I will not go by his word when he says he'll help me pay for everything..

Make a list of the things that need repaired and have him sign a statement before a notary stating that he agrees to pay for the damages to those items. Then, you will need to obtain estimates and work out a payment arrangement and have him sign that also.

He shouldn't have to "help" you pay for anything, considering it was his negligence which caused the damages to begin with. You will more than likely have to file a civil suit against him for the damages. Find a good local attorney, and you may be able to ask that he pay the attorney fees.

Need to go to court. Enforcement of the order is another thing altogether
