No. You will need 512mb as a minumum but ..... getting up to the minumum is not enough to get comfortable with the computer system.
My advice to you is stay away from Windows Vista and stick with Windows XP Home or Pro.
Anybody who going hype about Windows Vista including the Dell saying that Windows Vista is an excellent products should kick their brain out the door.

NO! DO NOT TRY THIS! VISTA WILL CRASH!. Windows vista needs atleast 512mb of ram for the basic version to function, it is recommended that you have 1 gb of memory or more for the mor advanced versions, Vista Ultimate wants 1.5gb to 2 gb min.

there is not any quick answer. you pick to enable everyone comprehend what Dell equipment you've. That way someone like me might want to make certain which skill grant you've and how a lot memory the equipment has. maximum Dells will in common words have onboard or very meager video thoughts. some will be in a position of be upgraded with a video card that would run the game you've or pick.

Even if you could, you wouldn't want to. It would be too slow to be bearable.
You can download and run the Vista Upgrade advisor from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx and it should tell you how your computer rates for Vista and what you can do.

If you look on the package it will tell you the minimum requirements for it( all software does ^_^ ). I'm not giving Bill anymore money unless I have to. As long as XPsp2 is doing the job I'm sticking with it.
