Worse. Iran has a much stronger military and better weapons. Bush has not failed in Iraq yet so lets wait until the war is over to say if it was a failure. Cowards who tuck tail and run may see Iraq as a failure but the Brave men and women who are still fighting don't. I stand with the brave.

Worse, since Iran can attack our allies in the Mid East and our 150,000 soldiers in Iraq, they can also ramp up the insurgency in Iraq and start one in Iran if we had invaded. Also, Iran has been building up its military for years unlike Saddam's which was destroyed after Gulf War I. While we would win, it would probably be more costly then the Iraq war, where the enemy eventually just rolled over and went home until the insurgency. They also would attack our navy and oil tankers in the Persian Gulf waters with missiles, torpedoes, and mines. They could cause wordwide economic damage with the halt of oil shipments from their country. Knowing Bush's history, he will probably ignore sound advice and just do what his neocon buddies ask him to so the war will be run poorly. In the end we would win outright militarily, but we may not be able to win politically, which is the most important victory.

Better. He won't try to take the government out, just strategic airstrikes on nuclear and military targets- knocking their nuclear program back 50 years or so and their military back so they will have no defense against Israel.
No troops on the ground this time.
Another prediction: It will come without warning and sudddenly- probably later this year.
Iran will not have a nuclear program at all in 2008 - the hard way or the easy way.
Even Clinton bombed that pharmaceutical plant in Sudan on less evidence than Bush has on Iran right now.

Iraq has not been a failure. But to answer your question, if Iran keeps acting the way they are, the world will take action, not just the US.

You may think Iraq was a stupid mistake, If Bush attacks Iran we might as well prepare for the worst that can ever happen. The thing that worries me is that he is just stupid enough to do it. Bad, bad mistake indeed.

It depends on where we drop the nukes... If we dropped one on Teheran, Damascus and Bagdad simultaneously, our boys could be home for the weekend round of golf... with my thanks and blessings. By the way, what do you think the consequences will be if we let Iran develop those weapons in seven short years? They already have ballistic missle capability. Do you think that camel jockey will hasitate to attack the U.S. and Europe? He thinks he will bring in the next Imam. Should we just wait until the fool becomes MORE powerful, just so you little but can FEEL safe?

If anyone fails Iraq, it would be the Dems cutting and running. I find it hard to believe that an American would turn his back on innocent women and children. Elect John McCain in 2008!
