You can host a singles girls night in at your home. Have cute valentines treats (cupcakes, heart shaped cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, candy) and have some other foods (chips and dip, mini egg rolls, stuffed mushrooms) Let it be a free-for-all munch fest. Rent some sappy tear jerkers. And play some silly girly games. Or even a game of Poker or Cranium. If you are of age have a mixed-drink station (Daiquiri's, Margaritas) Other wise stick with pop or juice. Just have a fun girls night in. Your other single girl friends will love it!

Refuse to get sucked into the commercialization of the day. Refuse to be made to feel as if you are less of a person because you are not half of a couple. Be good to yourself. Treat yourself to a nice (fill in the blank with whatever you are interested in). Go to a movie, go out with some other single friends and paint the town RED. Whatever you do, just refuse to be made to feel bad about yourself.

Anything she likes to do. I don't see the real importance of Valentine's Day. It's just a ploy by business people to make money. Same as most other holidays.

Anything you want. Enjoy your alone time b/c you will find a special someone someday. Don't dwell on being by yourself b/c you are the best company you will ever know or at least you should be. I have spent many holidays alone and it payed off for me a few years ago when I met my bf. Just hang in there.

confident there is you are able to circulate and hangout with some kinfolk or associates for the day. Valentines day isn't just about spending time mutually with your companion yet approximately spending time with relatives

That's a great question. I'm going to eat some cookies and take a long hot bath.

That is, right after working all day and then going to class for 3 hours.

Enjoy your day like I hope you enjoy every other day. I was a chron ically single woman until a year and a half ago, and I never dreaded it-more people are single than you think--or much worse-they're with someone they don't even like that much.
