I assume your abbreviation rep means representative, if that is the case yes I think it is a great idea on if they lived like the rest of the people in the area. If everyone lived broke and had to work there way out of it, we would have a lot more conservatives in this country.

A district is what the people make it. If rich people moved to the poor districts, those district would improve at least as long as the more competent people lived there.

Sounds like a good idea, BUT: it would cost too much!
First they would send in people to clean & fix everything, move in their fine furniture, have all meals catered & don't bother telling them not to bring along security, cause they don't go anyplace without it! All of this would be at our expense & for only 30 days! They would be just as sheltered from real life as they are in Washington & their home state.

Uh..ok. Then they need to spend some time in every other district. The government doesn't exist only to deal with the poor, and all classes deserve representation.

I disagree. Why elect someone to office only to have them possibly killed? Let's face it, these are the neighborhoods where MOST crimes take place. What does it prove if an elected official is murdered?
