Ok people, let me add some detail....emotional ambivilence does not mean you don't care about or love the person.

Bingo Monty...mixed feelings. You have all these conflicting feelings about this person but the physical aspect of the relationship is on a whole different level.

I think it is amazing...Although you don't mention any view you may have about the subject, there seems to be alot of opinions that you are either the victim or willing participant in your question.
Where I do think that a sexual chemistry is possible, it doesn't last for any length of time. In order for it to last, it needs to be about more than sex.
If you really are the victim in this scenario, maybe your feelings of ambivalence is more about protecting yourself from getting hurt. At least that would be my hope.

Lot often people that are intimately close emotionally find sex a great way to express their feelings to the other person. And sometimes, it can start with pure physical attraction and evolve into something more emotional.
But sometimes, I can tell from my personal experience that both absolutely had the greatest sexual relationship but knowing each other's commitments, we never let the thought of emotions play into it. So yes, that's quite possible :-)

Yes, and just go for it. Make sure when you find that special someone you let them know how great this fling was! They will emotionally just love to hear how you can have such a great time without being attached. This will get you all off to a great and emotionally secure relationship.

Of course its possible. You can find great sex with alot of people...and if thats all you want then that works out great for you. But since there is no emotion involved chances are it wont last too long. Eventually one of you will find another incredible sexual relationship with someone else and the great sex you two were having will fade out.

I guess, maybe if the person is great in the sack and good looking but annoying or very shallow and stupid. Otherwise, its normal to develope an emotional attachement of some kind. I think.

Best sex i ever had was with a guy that i just CANNOT get along with personally. We were just never able to communicate and our life/career plans just constantly interfered - we tried, but just couldn't make it work long term. Sexually - both of us being very passionate people - Pure Freaking Magic. I still think about it.

Not for me! To have the ultimate physical sexual relationship is to have it with one's spouse which adds the element of love!

Yes it is. And there's nothing wrong with it either. No strings, no emotions getting in the way, just please me tease me and go on back home cause I gotta study.
Anyone who disagrees with me on this (in my opinion) needs to try it once. And if you've already tried it once, try it again to make sure you didn't like it the first time.

Yes this relationship is based on sexual chemistry alone. Sometimes this happens, you can have great sex with someone who is all wrong for you.
