My friend and I are roadtripping, and I was wondering if there were free places or beaches we could camp in/on. We already know of some parks, but I was wondering if you could camp on any public beaches for free. We'll pay, it's not about that, just want to try and save some $$. Thanks for any input...we've been looking at the state parks and stuff already!

You'd be better off going with a private campsite or state park. Camping out on the public beaches is illegal, and the FDLE patrol very early in the morning. I'm from Northwest Florida, and I only know of 1 private campsite on the beach. It is a called, appropriately, Camping on the Beach, and it is beautiful there. Some state parks in the same area are Topsail Hill, Grayton Beach (one of the most perfect beach areas), Deer Park, and Henderson Park. If you are planning on stopping in NW Florida, you won't regret it!

You can camp right on the beach, 24 hours, then u must leave ( go to the next one, and then back again) do a search for Amelia Island , drive on access.
Were just there at all these place, about 5 of them, in april 2015.
