I know someone who named their dog Cinnamon. This is not a name for a person!

I think of my friend's dog. I don't think I would name a child cinnamon, I think a child with that name might be the butt of a lot of jokes when older.

I think it's too out there. If you like the sound of it, why not go for Cindy instead. Also, if you're child end's up to be a bit tubby as a teenager, they'd go to town calling her Cinnamon Doughnut...

I wouldn't go there personally.

Just a general rule of thumb to make your child's life easier: Don't give them a name that describes something else...and if you have to, have a good nickname handy.

And to echo someone else, "Cinnamon" DOES sound like a stripper's stage name.

I love it. I just named my quarterhorse Cinnamon. It fits her perfect for her color. For a person, I don't think so.

I have heard of one Cinnamon who her father let her go to prison for killing her stepmom and treated her like total crap. Don't think I'd name my child after her. He used to call her Sinni. Yuck.

I think my horse likes her name a lot more than a child would.

For all of you that think it is totally crazy, I know someone that named their girls a few years apart, are ya ready? Pepper and Minta. swear it's a true story.

Cinnamon was the "bad guy" in a Lifetime Movie that I watched once upon a time. She was called Cinnie for short.

I like it, but it's too easy to make fun of. Maybe let that be the middle name. You could name her Cienna Mona, that's close to Cinnamon. Good luck and God bless

I love cinnamon but I'm not sure it'll make a great name.

RE: naming your child Cookie

I once knew a woman with this name. Oddly, it suited her. She was a funny old lady with a sweet temper. Short and rotund too. Everybody liked her. It was impossible not to like her. She was always busy helping other people, often neglecting her own needs.

You could even split the name - name her Koolah Kieyana and shorten it to Kookie. ;-)

Why don't you named your child Sugar and Spice while you add it? It's not a name for any human being. It's a terrible name. Can you come up with a more original name than that?
