My son is 17lbs and 28inches long. He's 3.5 months old. He's drinking 8oz every 4-5 hours. He wont take a pacifier either! If it's too much, what do I need to do?

It's a good thing he won't take the pacifier. Do yourself a favor, get rid of all your pacifiers. It is hard to break a child from them damn things. If you are concerned about your sons size, talk to your doctor about it.

My daughter is 5 months and 22lbs and 27inches long. Your son is big for his age but not too heavy for his height. He may just be going through a growth spurt maybe you can try giving him a bottle of water here and there and see if that satisfies him. My daughter was eating 6oz every 3 hours at that age so we started her on rice cereal in the morning and before bedtime. Hope this helps

no, he's fine.
my son is 18+ pounds and 4.5 months. dr said he's fine. babies cannot overeat. they know when they're hungry and how much they want.

if he's not hungry he won't eat.

start shopping for a convertible carseat if you don't already have one! ours is on order. we're getting the GRACO comfort sport, by the way.

if you are really concerned then ask your ped.

take care!

p.s. remember that the babies need high fats for proper brain development. so, before you start getting any ideas about "dieting" your baby please talk to your ped.
i've heard some crazy ideas thrown out on here. kind of worries me sometimes!

My son is around the same age and size, and drinks about the same amount of formula. Don't worry, he's not too big and he's not eating too much. He's a growing boy and will level off as he gets older.

Let him eat until he's full, he needs his food.

How cute he must be. My sisters both had big baby boys they were healthy and breastfed. When they learned to crawl and then finally walk they slimmed down.

It's not too big..he probably recently had a growth spurt or something. It'll even out in a little while.
