just wait until you are 18...at the most, it's only a year away! i got mine done when i was 19, i live in maryland...i wanted it done since i was in 7th grade! i waited that long, you can also wait! not to mention, with the swelling, she will notice!! you talk weird for about a week and don't think that you can just not talk to her...or talk as little as possible, because you will slip up!! it doesn't hurt until the next morning, then about a week after that...but make sure that you go to a reputible place, my sisters friend had it done and her tounge swelled up with blood and had to go to the hospital and also ended up with no piercing! good luck and use your head...your grown up one!!

a piercing is for you. you cant get it done behind her back anyways. you are not 18. wait one more year.. she wont be able to say anythign to you it is your body. unles they are totally against piercings they shouldnt say anything bad. just make sure you let her know you are gettign your tongue pierced when you are of age so when you go home you wont find a bunch of luggage and telling you to move out.. but wait one more year since you will have too. if you do find a parlor that doesnt card then i would keep away if they are not checking for I.D. then who knows what health codes and regulations they are breaking.. and dont even think baout doing ti yourself. just wait one more year. 365 days isnt that much...

EDIT : well if they are breaking the law to pierce you wihtout your consent. they they need to be shut down! who knows if they are already breaking the law. they could also be breakign health codes. so wiht your newe tongue piercing you can also leave the shop with hepatitis or another disease. a shop that will pierce you at 17 is NOT REPUTABLE! and should be avoided at all costs. its for your own saftey and health. please wait one more year. and make the smart decision. but if you get it done wou mom will have good reasons to kick you out. you need to respect her and her decision. you are still in her house and its her rules.

there really is no way to hide it from her. your tongue swells for about a week and you cant talk or even eat regular food. if you want it done that bad, then wait another year till your 18. thats all you can do. theres no way of hiding it from her and i really dont think that it would be worth all the trouble, especially if it got infected or anything. this is something that you cant do behind her back.

There are plenty of persons who believe that tongue earrings serve a cause, specifically, oral intercourse. However, there are lots of persons available in the market with tongue earrings, and that notion used to be tired in just like the eighty's. Your mother is solely caught in that generation of considering, and I imply you quite cannot blame her, such a lot mum and dad simply are. And to the character who mentioned tongue piercings get inflamed readily, they're WRONG. Tongue piercings honestly are one of the most simplest piercings to heal. Even persons who do not blank them safely do not more commonly get infections. Usually persons confuse the consistent medication system as an contamination. It's to your mouth. It's going to heal otherwise than different piercings. Imagine what a scab could seem like if it used to be being attacked by means of saliva all day. It's going to seem gross whilst it is medication. That character most likely has no notion what they're speaking approximately. Anyway, simply be definite that you do not allow certainly one of your peers pierce it for you or whatever. If you wish it that badly, you'll wait till you're of age to get it performed in your possess. They quite don't seem to be damaging piercings if they're performed CORRECTLY by means of a PROFESSIONAL, and most likely your mother is ignorant to that truth, however she remains to be your mother and also you need to recognize her wants.

Hate to say it, but a tongue piercing is kind of obvious. Go with what your parents say and when you are 18 you can do it. If that is what you want, then your family should accept you for who you are not what body part you want to impale.

don't do it because she is responsible if you get an infection which is quite common with tongue piercing. Then you have to go to the doctor and get on antibiotics and after all that you have lost you tongue ring, have scar tissue on your tongue and lost your mothers trust. Wait until you are 18 then make your decision.

unfortunately for you..you cant get it done without a paren't to sign for it..you're 17, just wait another year and get it done like i did. hopefully you will wait, because if you do find someone to do it without your parents they probably arent safe and sterile either and you do not want an infection in your tongue

wait till you are 18 and living on your own. then your mom can't tell you want to do. BTW hiding a tounge peircing, is like hiding a tattoo on your face..it can't be done.

I'd wait....I mean....it's just another year and why go through all that trouble to be yelled at and hassled before you're a legal age....and your mom's only thinking about you when she doesn't want you to get your tongue pierced....
