If men waited until they're ready, the divorce rate would definately go down, but the marriage rate would be almost non-existant.
I loved my wife do not doubt, but I proposed to her to get her off my back about it...damn...amen.

Divorce rate would likely decline if morality played a part in relationship.
Sex should not come into the relationship until marriage.
Also the biggest factor effecting the rise in divorce rates has been the presence of women in the work place and not at home with kids and doing chores. The Feminist movement of the late 60s and 70s destroyed the nuclear family unit.
Girls get married, stay at home and raise your children, guys bust your butt to bring home the livelihood.

The divorce rate will go down, when people stop being so selfish. When married couples focus on each other and the good of the family unit and not so much on themselves. The Divorce rate will go down when people start respecting each other more. When women realize that men and women are different and we stop expecting our hubby's to act like women. When we make our marriage and our children our number one priority. When we treat sex as something sacred to be shared between only husband and wife, instead of something casual we do with anyone of the opposite sex who happens to be available at that moment. The divorce rate will go down when people get amrried when they are mature enough to handle the responsibility. When people take time to date and get to know each other. When people only Marry the person who posseses the qualities they are looking for in a spouse, rather than marry anybody and try to make them who we want them to be. The divorce rate will go down, when husbands and wives resect each other. The Divorce rate will go down when we realize that Love, while important, is not the only thing to consider when getting engaged. It will go down when we aren't selfish.
I could keep going, but I think that love, respect and unselfishness are the most important things.

The 36% is a parse or canard. some segments and consistent with possibility a sparkling era may well be seeing a decrease divorce fee. although, the information isn't physically powerful, apart from the non-longitudinal standard information (US CB & NVSS) displaying gentle transformations nevertheless hovering around 50% (e.g. fifty 3% consistent with 2010 information). So, the question's antecedents are lacking; expenditures are unlikely down whilst information is taken from the properly-grounded standard information.

Nope. That's like saying would murder rates go down if we passed out lolly pops.People, for the most part, are too selfish or too shallow to care about a long term commitment or putting down roots of any kind. It's too easy to jump to divorce court if your old lady pisses you off.Instead of working at it, we are almost encouraged it seems to strive for that independence that only comes after you kick your man out of the house or vice versa. As a society, we value the individual's feelings in relationships when that clearly is not the case.We have slowly moved away from the idea of carrying a flag of family so to speak, and in doing so, we have become complacent about this.We should legalize gay marrige to offset these statistics.

Divorce rates would go down if only people in healthy, loving and committed relationships got married. If you are a nag and your boyfriend is a coward- the marriage will be unfullfilling.

The divorce rate would go down if:
(1) women didn't put out to boys for free (then expect him to grow up after they nag them into marriage)
(2) boy's didn't actually get any until they behaved like men

I married her because i knocked her up. It was the right thing to do. I didn't wan't some other prick to be rasing my kid. Plus she is really hot too. 10 years later she is absolutely smokin still.
It was my idea to get married. I proposed to her, she did not nag me at all.

I confess I did it to get her off my back, and I will probably be divorced within the year.
