There's history, and then there's cache. You should clear both if you're clearing them. Be sure to check the box that says remove all offline content as well.
With that said, there are still other traces left behind that the normal user wouldn't be able to get to. :)

Yes and clearing the cookies is not going to totally help you. I could still see where you have been. To clear it completely you have to open My Computer. At the top you will select Tools, Folder Options and select show hidden files and folders. From there you go to documents and settings, click on your profile you logged in under and Local Settings, Temp and clear the contents of that folder out manually.
And i just told you how a "user" can get to the "other files" as mentioned below

Every picture and everything that has been on your computer can be accessed after you just "delete" the history.
The only -true- way to do this is probably to completely tear apart your hard drive and the little discs inside and then it wouldn't work and there isn't much point in this. From what I've heard, it's very difficult to get into this information that is buried really deep, though.

on your menu bar you go to tools, internet options and then delete cookies, clear history, and delete all temporary internet files. and there is no way to see what you have visted. =)

Set your IE history to 0.and if you run Firefox set it to 0 also,end of problem.

clear ur cookies to .... do a ctrl+h from ur browser to make sure nothing comes up ... clear the cache ..
