when i record a tv programme from my free view box, the programme records but there is never any sound, could anyone please help as im missing out on good tv, thankyou all

Unless the freeview box has a fault, the most usual cause of no sound is the SCART lead not being pushed fully into its socket (and check both ends!) You don't say how old the box is. If it's new, take it back and ask them to check it under warranty. But please check the connections first. Hope this helps.

try trumans idea and also make sure your connected to the right inputs.
