Of course you can divorce him. An earlier poster got a tiny fact wrong...its 2 years not one with the conditional status. Divorce him in this time frame and he's outta here.

I am not sure what happens to assets...I imagine they are treated no differently from any other divorce proceeding.

If your name is on the accounts wipe them out. If the accounts are in the same country as you, most likely. You will not be able to reach into another country. You should really check with a lawyer or do some research on the web.

first off you must be an immigrant too cause you can't spell. So learn the damn language first. Second, call immigration and have his "donkey" shipped back to Mexico! I am tired of paying for his social security and health care when he is a lazy beaner.

If you've been married less than a year, you can probably divorce him and have him deported.

you can divorce him and take everything he has not just freeze them.... contact a lawyer asap they will even make it so he has to pay your attorney fees!
