April is a pretty busy month - the first two weeks specifically. You'll be dealing with a lot of families on spring break and folks who have tax return money.
Also, the Inline Marathon will be going on that week at the Walt Disney World Resort. So you'll want to make your hotel reservations ASAP since there will more people there than usual.
If you can, visit in early March instead. If April is the only time you can go - then you'll just have to make it work.
Be sure to take advantage of fast pass tickets. Send one member of your family off to another attraction with all of your park tickets so that he/she can pick up fast passes for a different attraction while you wait in line for another. This will really help. Also, if you plan to stay at a Disney Resort, be sure to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, only available for Resort guests.

My little sister has gone during the last week of April with her father (my ex-stepfather). It was quite busy, as others have mentioned, but that didn't stop her from having the best possible time. She and her father are going back around the same time this April. It's just the best time for them - convenient because it's April Vacation here in the state of New Hampshire and while it'll be hot, it won't be as hot as would be during summer vacation. But according to the Official Walt Disney World website mid-March through Late April ("Spring Break") is a time of highest attendance...

Honestly, though, it's Walt Disney World and the Year of a Million Dreams - you'll have an incredible time, no matter what.
Hope I could help! Have fun!

I think i've been then, and I will be there the first week of this april to.
It depends when Spring Break and Easter Break are. I know that UK Easter break is a week later, and therfore am hopeful it won't be to busy. I know that when it's not UK Easter Break it is alot quieter. I'm also hoping though that US Spring break is not then. I went once during US Spring break and it was horrible with long ques and very busy. If you can find out if that is on then or not (I'm not in US so can't easily) then that will give you a good idea on how busy it's going to be.
Apart from that there's always people at Disney, it's never going to be quiet. But remember fast pass is your friend, as is anytime that isn't a school holiday!

Every time I have gone in April it is really crowded. Spring break falls at different times for different areas and April happens to be one of the months that is a spring break month. That means that lines are long.
If you take advantage of fast passes and plan your day out, somewhat, you should be fine. The lines are longer but anytime you go during a break in school whether it is summer, winter break, holidays, spring break, etc. it will be pretty crowded.
I've never been to Disney in April where they close the parks due to capacity like they can for holidays, like Christmas. But it is still a lot busier than some of the other times of the year.

I went April 5-6 of 2006 to Animal KIngdom and it was hot, and crowded! Expedition Everest was about to officially open and they were letting the public go on the ride, the wait was about 2 hours. Besides that ride I think I got on 2 other rides that day before I was just drained. I personally would not go to Disney between April-August.

The lines are extremelly long!! Its spring break you have to have expected it to be long! Ride lines in the middle of the day would range from 30 minute wait up to over 2 hours. You can sometimes find less popular rides with no waits but that is very unlikely. I would reccomend going right when it opens for a couple hours, leaving then coming back for the last 3 hours! Hope this helps.

April is bad... Spring break for a ton of schools falls at that time, and it really stinks to be crowded and have to deal with ALL of the people. My family has been to Florida many times in April and we totally stay away from the theme parks at that time.(I have family that lives there.) If you haven't already bought the tickets, I would say don't bother, and try for another time. I love Florida and go any chance I get. April is just to crazy for me.

there'll be a respectable quantity of human beings there for the time of that element as some colleges have spring breaks for the time of that element period, and that is a favored time for kin holidays. even though it should not be too undesirable. frequently the elements in April can determination from mid 80s in the course of the day to low 60s at evening. And if you're planning utilising Magical convey, only positioned those yellow tags on each and each and every of the baggage you pick Disney to handle for you and ignore about them till they happen on your room! you do not ought to %. them up on the baggage declare. in truth, they received't even make it to the baggage declare as Disney will pull them in the previous they get that a strategies. Disney will grant the baggage for your motel room for you. yet be warned your bags would arrive an hour or 2 once you do, each and every from time to time even later in case your arrival time at Disney is extremely late in day, because the baggage Disney possibilities up is going on a separate truck, no longer on the bus your using. So some thing you imagine you pick rapidly should be packed on your carry-on so that you'll have already got it with you.

i have gone the last week of january and the first week in april and let me say I WILL NEVER go in april again....it was just unbelieveably crowded..we had so much more fun going in jan..no where near the people...in april we stood in lines for hours, couldnt even hardly get around it was very frustrating to say the least which caused our excitement to diminish....my mother and sister have also been there in march and april and both of those months they reported as horrible...I tell you in jan it was great we went to all 4 parks and were able to go on most rides one right after another and several rides we went on again right after getting off with no wait..it was so much more relaxing...
