Jihad has nothing to do with US presence in the middle east. Jihad dates back to the beginning of Islam in the 6th century, 1200 years before there WAS a US. Jihad is worldwide - the violence is not limited to the US, in fact we get only a small amount of the violence relative to other countries. How many troops did Bali send to Iraq? Oh, right, NONE.
The Koran doesn't say behead Americans. It says behead non-muslims.
