I think it was Theodore Roosevelt. I liked his policies and how his foreign relations were. What say you? Feel free to leave reasons.

While I agree that Teddy Roosevelt did a great job I would have to list Washington, Lincoln and FD Roosevelt as the tree greatest.

While Washington did not have all of the problems we face today he still deserves a great deal of credit. He set established the gudelines Presidents still use in large part today. The most tenuous time for a new nation is its infancy. By sheer force of personality Washington moved this nation through that faze.

Lincoln bent nearly every rule in keeping this nation together, but he did it. At the same time he recognized the need for social and political changes. His tragic death insured that we would fall into many of the pitfalls he intended for this nation to avoid.

FDR held a coalition together through the depression and the 2nd world war. He appointed members of both parties to his cabinet in order to make sure he was hearing a wide variety of ideas.

FDR was probably be the best considering what he had to deal with during the depression. And a lot of the programs he put in place are still beneficial today. I think JFK would have been the best had he lived.

Bobby Kennedy - I know he didn't actually make it but he was the BEST candidate... really, I think we should consider him an American President.

Same with Benjamin Franklin.

These two inspired more Americans than any actual President and they have contributed more to our country than most of us realize.
