Because it is a place for learning. So it needs dicipline, order, attention so that the students can concentrate in their studies.

There is no psychology to it. You need to be paying attention in class to learn anything. If you are doing something besides paying attention to the teacher, then you are not learning. Other than that I don't know what you are asking. I must've been goofing or something. I don't know.

As much as we hate to believe it.. the way one behaves can be very detracting...as a teacher and ex-class clown..... It is quite hard to have the full attention of the students when there is one person who doesn't care or is simply distracted themselves....that is in turn distracting others...
