my rabbit, marshmallow, is all white with pink eyes, but i just noticed today that his eyes are getting more red as if their irritated. since it has been so cold (-15'F) i brought my two bunnies inside from my garage into a bathroom. i turned on the fan and stuff. what is causing his eyes to get so red, though?!?!

ok no offence but no one knows what they r talking about.
first off he is not an Albino, the pink eyes r part of his breed u can look that up on the initernet. he is most lickly a New Zeland or a Netherland Dwarf( depending how small he is)

and he probably is getting an infiction from other something in the air of dust or shavings. try putting eye drops in his eyes. that's what i do with my rabbits and if u do it once a day everyday fo a bit it shoud clear up. if it doesn't within a few days of it gets worst go to ur vet ASAP!!!

oh and Lisa is backwards yes it cold and the rabbit should be brought in out of the WIND!!! rabbits r bette in the COLD cuz they have a FUR COAT what bothers them is the cold WIND so even if u put them in ur basement or ur wood shed something. rabbits are better in the winter but in the summer rabbits are as good cuz they can SWEAT like use. they can't cool down as easy so to cool them down place in a frozen water bottle and some ice in their water dish so the water is cold.

hope i could help!

Oh boy.

First,if you use the garage, you should never kept your bunnies in there. The fumes from you car can kill them.

Dear gods that's COLD. They SHOULD be in your house! Domestic rabbits don't survive the cold very well-keep that in mind.

Most likely Marshmallow is having a slight infection from the fumes or the cold-he may also be coming down with a mild cold himself. Watch him and if it gets any worse, take him over to your vet.
