Can't believe that you would even think of comparing these two.
Comparing Fat Frank to Steven Gerrard MBE is akin to comparing f*cking Babysham to Bollinger.
Fat Frank has been shocking in an England shirt for quite some time, besides i've never rated him at all. The only thing he's good for is scoring deflected goals and even that seems to be beyond him in a England Shirt.
Gerrard is a genuine player of class, he has single handedly won 2 of the most prostigeous cup competitions in the world. His distribution, pace, striking are up there with the very very best in the world. If Gerrard ever came up for sale (which i very much doubt he will ever) he would cost double or even triple what anyone would pay for pie-eatin Frank.
Lampard doesn't deserve to wear the shirt, there are many more harder working, team players in the premiership that don't seem to get anywhere near the recognition that he does. Sven and McClaren have a love affair with him - he'd rate below Barton if i was England Manager

Gerrard a million times over. Gerrard's class shows, he's the kind of player who can inspire his team to greater things, get them back from the brink of defeat. He has great vision, an awesome passing ability, reads the game very well, and is one of a few truly superstars in football who can play anywhere and with anyone and look good.
Lampard ? Well, he's good, but apart from having a good eye for goal ( only when playing for chelsea though ), he doesn't really stand out as much talent wise

It completely depends on what category you're talking about. Lampard is a world-class striker of the ball from long-distance. Gerrard arguably has more foot skills.
If I must choose, I would take Gerrard because of his playmaking ability, though I most rather have both.

gerrard is the better one when both of them are on form. But now, Lampard performs better.
