I would guess it is probably oceanic crust. When the oceanic crust is thrust up on land it is known as an ophialite suite.

Since Eden was at the junction of 4 rivers i would expect it to be a very fertile river valley. Only two of these rivers in known and probably over grazing and other bad practices made Iraq what it is today, We do not know where the other two rivers are, so it could be anywhere that the Tigris and Euphrates are. FYI Adam means "Man" in Ancient Aramaic. { (Genesis 25:25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. [ Esau may mean hairy ; he was also called Edom, which means red. ] Genesis 25:30 He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom.
