I have to write an essay in class on monday but I can do the outline at home. My topic is to compare and contrast 3 women I have read about in literature short stories. Anyways my question is....Should I do the three body parahgraphs with each paragraph on one woman or should I do two body paragraphs with one on comparing and the other on contrasting? I am stuck. I'm not sure how to go about doing the three body paragraphs with one on each woman. I think I have to have three body paragraphs. I'm not sure. How do you think I should do this?

Out of those options I'd definitely do the two body paragraphs with one compairing and one contrasting.

Or i think if i was writing it, I'd seperate the paragraphs into the different types of things I was comparing and contrasting, e.g. one say comparing and contrasting physical characteristics and outward obvious differences, one c&c'ing different personality traits and other aspects similar to that, and one c&c'ing how they interact with others. The actual things you'd talk about would depend on what the women are like and the important things about them, but I hope you get the basic idea of what i mean, focus more on what you are saying and comparing and seperate it like that. As you can prepare, you could write a list of all the things you want to discuss (such as their relationship with men, their physical appearance etc. etc.) and then group them together in catagories that fit and arrange the paragraphs that way.

We were always taught you will get more marks in any exam or essay that asks you to c&c if you talk about all the characters from the start, interlocking them, rather than having one paragraph about one character, another for the next etc. etc. Because in that way you'll likely not completely c&c'ing them, just describing them, or if you do c&c that way, you will likely repeat yourself.

Even if you are in a low grade/year and/or are young, it's much better to start doing this early so you will be practised in writing that way, because if you learn the other way, you will likely need to change how you write for higher grades/years because the expectations will be higher.

Good luck!

Well it depends on what grade you are in and your teachers expectations. I would recomend you do 5 paragraphs the fist you introduce all 3 woman and your intent to contrast and why. the next 3 about each individual. and the final your findings and conclusion. hope that helps.

i imagine people should be at liberty to have the opinion that they decide on. they should be ready to convey there opinion, and those who pay interest (which should be a good number of people) must have an open ideas, and doubtless change there opinion. some evaluations gained't grow to be something, regardless of the indisputable fact that it doesnt mean there valueless. in spite of if no man or woman treasures your opinion, you ought to. Its what makes you who you're.
