The hole in the ozone layer has absolutely nothing to do with global warming. The hole in the ozone is shrinking and within 50 years should be pretty much back to normal. Converting O2 to O3 may be possible, but putting it into the upper atmosphere in such a way that it would stay there and block the sun's UV rays would be a logistical nightmare and prohibitively expensive -- not to mention the fact that it is really not necissary (CFC's which caused the ozone holes were mostly banned and they are used very rarely these days).
The greenhouse effect is a good thing, but unlike the third answer I understand that it can also be a bad thing. If this guy thinks that any amount of greenhouse effect is a good thing I suggest he spend a couple weeks living on Venus.
The greenhouse effect is caused by greenhouse gasses like CO2 (carbon dioxide), NO2 (nitrous oxide), and CH4 (methane) -- the large amount of molecular oxygen (O2) in our atmosphere actually keeps the planet cooler than it would otherwise be... but adding oxygen to the atmosphere would be very dangerous because oxygen is a very reactive and combustable gas.
So basically, making O3 would be a waste of time. The greenhouse effect isn't a bad thing - but man made global warming IS a bad thing (and it IS real). The solution to global warming lies in cutting our emissions of greenhouse gasses like CO2 by curbing the burning of fossil fuels for energy.

Mother does it much simpler. The solar winds blow around the earth and one of the first things it encounters the magnetic field. The solar wind has a lot of alfa particles . When the ozone layer starts to get a little thin the alfa particles come through and bombard the nitrogen. When this happens a very peculiar thing happens ,it trans mutates the nitrogen to oxygen . There is also a tremendous charge on the ozone layer which tales the O2 and makes it into O3. The ozone layer has so much current flowing through it that a satellite passing through it must turn off all high voltage to prevent arc over.

That one simple question is so full of ignorance it's difficult to know where to begin. Clue 1: Neither ozone nor oxygen is a greenhouse gas. Clue 2: Without the "greenhouse effect" the Earth would be a frozen wasteland.
You figure it out from there. It's no wonder people believe all the hysteria over global warming when there is so much ignorance about the science involved.

Converting O3 to O2 takes energy and catalyst and time. It is not impossible, but considering the volume of gas we are talking about, it wouldn't be practical.

That is a wonderful idea, I am so surprised no one has thought of that. Maybe you need to sell this idea and get rich, Like Bill Gates.
