as long as the company elects not to offer benefits to part-time employees. most companies are able to offer benefits to employees that work 30 or more hours a week however this is at their discretion and based on their service agreement with the companies benefit provider. If you work 30 hours or so per week I'd ask if you are eligible.

Forever. That's what happens when you pick a part time job with no benefits. If you work, on average, less than the company's magic number of hours (usually anywhere from 30 to 40), they never have to give you any benefits. I have a part time job with benefits, but those are rare.

i am sorry to tell you the answer could be forever. i would speak to you boss and ask if they offer any part time benefits, such as vacation time etc. 2) ask how many hour do they require you to work a month or week to earn benefits 3). you might be closer than you think to benefits.4). from state to state the laws might very .5).be careful some companies benefit are no good anyway, they make you pay into the plan and the benefits are no good anyway. check out and question your opions before you speak .
good luck

for a long time if your company does not offer benefits for it's part-time workers then no matter how long you work there they are not obligated to give you benefits by law. my advice would be try to find another job or if you can't keep looking and keep your options open maybe a better paying job will come along and that could help too. or you could look at government agenices to help you they could offer things like dental, medical assistance for people with low income so check it out. even partial help is better than none at all.

I guess you could if you wanted work there forever. I work a part-time job with no benifits they dont even offer full-time workers benifits either they just can not afford them for us. Ive worked here for one year now and recently had a brain surgery done so I have medical bills like crazy and half to file bankrupcy soon. Im going to be looking for another job soon here because I can not make it on part time hours with no benifits. I stay at my job because Love the people I work with and love the job itself ive never had a job I actually like so Ive stuck with it for so long because of that reason. But now I half to do what I half to do and thats find something elese wich makes me sad. But if thats what you wanna do you could work like that forever if u chosse too.

Indefinitely!
There is no law that requires a business to provide a parttime employee, (anyone who works less than I think, 32 hours), with any benefits
