my landlord has been fixing a leak at the house, well actually the plumber has, but she has been there every step of the way, the problem is she's a basketcase and always makes my girlfriend upset to where she is in tears. can i make her leave the house? i have my own way of handling it but it would involve the police and my girlfriend doesn't want me saying anything to her. any suggestions?

That's a tough one.The landlord has the right to be on premises when work is being done. However the landlord does not have the right to harass your girlfriend.Harrassment is against the law.I suggest that you have a talk with your landlord about her behaviour. If she continues to harass, bring a suit against her and yes, ask her to leave.

Your girlfriend should either stay in another room away from where the repairs are being done or leave the house if the land lord upsets her that much. The landlord does own the house remember and they always get stressed out when expensive repairs have to be done.

If you like where you are living, you had better not make too much trouble or you'll be out on the street.
