Well, it depends on the person. Maybe the person who hates people who are different feels insecure within themselves and hates that other people are more confident. If that is not the case, then maybe the person is from a small town where everyone is the same, and they feel someone who is "different" is a threat to them - that the person who is different will cause everyone around them to change to be more like the "different" person. Another reason could be, a lot of people hate when things change; they have lived a certain way for such a long period of time, and they want things to stay the same. And some people just have no tollerance. This is a very general question, so it is hard to answer - but I did my best to cover as many possibilites as I could. Hope that helps!

I often ask that question myself. My answer is that people are so closed-minded and can't think for themselves, and are told what to think by things like MTV, their social clique, or their parents. Hence, the reason why preps/popular kids suck.
