I have raised about 5 guinea pigs and they are not nocturnal (in the meaning that they sleep all day and are awake all night.) They sleep on and off during the day and night. They are very social and tend to be active when people are around.

Guinea pigs are not nocturnal. They don't sleep for long periods of time and often sleep with their eyes open so you probably won't even realise they are asleep. I've had my piggies stay in my room with me and they would make a lot of noise while I'm trying to get to sleep and very early in the morning, but other than that I didn't notice the noise. Also, you should consider getting two piggies as they are social animals and like to have a friend.

Guinea pigs are not entirely nocturnal
They need their rest .,,
they sleep during parts of the day
and also sometimes at night
but do not appear to sleep a lot
This is because ,they have many predators in the wild ,
so they need to stay alert .

Guinea pigs tend to be most active early in the morning and late at night. They take naps periodically throughout the day. They aren't nocturnal to say but they do enjoy the night life (with naps included!). But they don't sleep a full seven hours like people, they just nap.

no they are not nocturnal, however, about 60-70% of the time they are more awake during the night. Guinea pigs spend a lot of their time sleeping anyway, through the day and night so don't worry about picking him up at any time.

They arent nocturnal, but they are most active at night. Rodents seem to do that for some reason. I suggest looking it up if you really want to know why.

They are not at all nocternal. But they are I can't remember the word for... Basicly its like hour on hour off. They sleep for a bit, then they are awake for a bit. They don't sleep all through the night and arn't awake all through the day.
