They make a plastic holder so you can throw it in the dishwasher and they are like $2 at stores like Walmart or Target.

The best way to clean a ball cap is in the dishwasher. It cleans it well and holds the shape. If you put it in the dryer it will shrink, so sit it on the counter over a tupperware bowl and let it dry for a while.

I've washed mine in the washing machine. I use a little two piece plastic shaper, to retain the shape, as it is washed. Unless you have some dirt on it that is not the normal everyday variety, this is all you need to do. I'd suggest hanging it up with the plastic pieces still in it to dry. This lets it dry to the correct shape.

I do it on the gentle cycle and let it air dry instead of putting it in the dryer. But you may want to hand wash it with Woolite or the stain remover stuff that comes in the Dryel dry cleaning box. That stuff works great for alot of stains, even on things that aren't dry clean only.

I had a friend who had a whole wall filled with dirty baseball caps. I did wash them, on the permanent press cycle, and then shaped them with my hands. I did not put them in the dryer. They came out fine.

Some people will say to throw it in the washer, dishwasher and dryer but don't. That will warp your hat. Use some warm water, baking soda and an old toothbrush to spot clean or to clean the band. To clean the whole hat use some Woolite in a sink of warm water.

dishwasher, top rack; the bill is heavy duty cardboard sewn in btw the material so it's safe in this situation, don't twist or bend it while it's wet and it'll dry in the correct shape; pull it out, put it in front of the fridge vent to dry and it's good as new

.All of mine go in the wash I feel sure that liner in the bill is plastic. I have never had a bad result and some of them are pretty cheap quality.

I wash all of ours in the washer and place them over a stiff frame to dry and it keeps its shape. I usually have a new hat to place the old one over. I fold the back into itself and that helps.

dish washer on top rack then bend the bill and stick it (the bill) in a plastic or glass cup to dry to retain the shape of it (if you like a bent bill of course-as every one should!)
