Hi Blackduch -
Bob the boat answering.....
Well If I type from personal experience -
I am something of a contract electrical power engineer, so move from one project to another.
At the moment, I am without contract until next week. when I begin designing more stuff for the RAF. For a considerable fee.
However, in the meantime, I have spent the last two weeks working a fork-lift in a wharehouse for£8 per hour. Just for fun.
Normal is £30 / hour.
Do I care ?
No !
So in general answer to your Q -
There are loads of job things out there, so just be brave, and go for them.
You to seem to have, from your Q, a reasonable sense of stuff.
What is your experience & qualifications, I would ask ?
If all is well, you have a job with me in Hertfordshire soon.
Say £8-10 per hour.
I will be needing a "general factotum"
All the best,
Bob the Boat

Oh, yeah! All I see in my local paper is truck driving jobs and the only jobs I see on Career Builder and Yahoo Jobs when I put in the type of work I'm interested in is work-at-home scams and mystery shopper jobs. I'm going to have to try a temp agency soon.

As for the salaries, I'm not sure if they have went up since the minimum wage has gone up; I'm guessing some jobs have raised salaries.

Yeah i'm wating for a reply from one job while signing up to an agency. There's work there but the money isn't. I wont go mad and overspend if i do get another job.

Unemployment is about as low as it can get. Maybe you're not trying hard enough.
