I have a teenage boy who is wearinhg a shirt I hate. I had him go out and buy a new outfit, but I cant figure out how to get him to change into it.
Can anyone help me?

you have to have a dresser.
buy it before you go then when he comes home, he will put the clothes away
then you click on it and choose the "plan outfit" option

first you buy a wardrobe or dresser and using the character you would like to change the clothes on you can click on the Dresser/wardrobe and say plan outfit and the type of outfit (everyday, pajamas, swimwear, undies, or formal) then a window will pop up with the clothes that Sim owns and you can chose the clothing you would like the Sim to wear. If you would like to see the outfit appear in the Sims head shot/photo you will need a mirror and then say change appearance. Note: the mirror part will only work for everyday clothing.

You go to their wardrobe/dresser and click on it... Then click plan outfit... then click everyday. Then it will let you choose which shirt he should wear.

why don't you ask him if he wants to go shopping for new shirts.then he would like this new shirt and you can get rid of that one
