ok i just got a new pc & i need to to trasfer all my files how do i do this? thx.

the old comp is running xp the new 1 is vista

If both pc's a re running winXP or Vista, the easiest way is to get a USB drive, and copy all your files stored in "My Documents" on the old pc to the USB drive. Then move the USB drive to the new PC. Now copy all the files from it to your "My Documents" in the new pc.

yeah get a crossed LAN cable and hook it up in both computers it'l make like a small network between both and then you can transfer files from one computer to another very quickly.

one of two ways, either do it through CD or DVD but for this you'll need blank CDs or DVDs an a burner, OR hook your hard drive up as the slave (yes I did say SLAVE an not in a sexual context either) and you can usually get a program from the companies website that made your hard drive to do so.. an they are rather easy to use.

use LAN if you have lan adapter in both computers
