I have a couple items that belonged to a friend of my father's. And they are both gone now so the items are mine and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find out if they have any value? The items are personal things he brought home with him after the war. I would like to talk to others who know more about these items. Thanks

It would have been better if you had said what those items were. Anyway there are a lot of collectors of WW I items. Since I don't know what you have it is impossible to tell you where to take them.

I have my Daddy's mess kit, a full page newspaper ad welcoming the dough boys home, and a map with his notes of what was happening there. I have noone leave these items to and could use the $ at this stage in my life.
