The Simpsons has been hard for me to watch the past 5 years. I can't imagine how the movie will be. 15 years ago it would have been great. I think it is a great show now teetering on death!

All animated shows do that once they reach popularity or if they've been around so long their orignal animators pass away. It does suck because I grew up with the Simpsons, and I love South Park and other animated shows, and both do the same thing: change their style both animation wise and their plots. I wish they could just stick to their original appearances and original storylines.

I haven't noticed this. The cast is signed up for the movie, and don't quote me on this, but I think the entire cast is has at least been signed up until 2009.

I couldn't find it personally, since it's been a while since the contracts have been signed. But Variety magazine is the best source for all these types of TV / movie questions, and can be found at www.variety.com

I've noticed too its seriously not funny any more. The jokes are, thankfully, the same quality. But the faces of the cartoons are just irritating.

The drawings were always outsourced to South Korea. Maybe that is too expensive now and they are going cheaper into North Korea for artwork.
