I think you're refering to aromaticity? (aryl)

to be called aromatic in chemistry requires conjugated double bonds. see the link below.

cyclohexane is not aromatic. Therefore bromocyclohexane is not.

bromobenzene is an aromatic halide.

No, it is an alkyl halide. An aryl halide would be bromobenzene.
