It's just a rumor, Brazil national team is too big for his career, even a player like Ronaldinho will never be a legend if he won't improve his performance in International level!!!!! He is the best in club level, but if he wants to be the best out of his generation he must bring WC to Brazil!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm watching Brazil vs Portugal and the commentator just said that, if Brazil will play good without him, Ronaldinho maybe won't play in Copa America because he didn't have a rest from Brazil national team in last three years..... but I doubt that this could happen!!!
I love the Ronaldinho of the last 3 years. (Prior to the world cup)
I don't love the way that he is playing now. He doesn't seem to have the passion he did before, and I think that he is starting to believe his own hype.
Remember this last World Cup, Perreira played Ronaldo even though he moved around less than a tree stump because he could break Gerd Muller's record for the most World Cup goals, which he ended up doing by the constant generosity of his teammates - e.g. Kaka, Ronaldinho, Robinho. Perreira also messed up by playing big names and not the younger more hungry players.
There will always be pressure on the coach to play Ronaldinho because everyone wants to see him play. If the coach of Brasil will maintain a high level of excellence and passion from his players, Ronaldinho will help his team. If they succumb to politics like Perreira did, Brasil will suffer by enabling another one of their gifted starts to win with their petulance.
It's a rumor, don't believe it. He doesn't have to play in Copa America, many players don't play there. But he can't quit national team. He's only 26. Maybe he doesn't want to play in some stupid frendlies, but he can't quit it. He's their best player. Dunga will find some solution. It isn't entirely his fault that he's underperforming for Brazil. That's because Perreira/Dunga don't understand him, they prefer average players. But it has to change in the future, because Brazil is playing poorly. Dunga will have to let him play. If not, it would hurt Dunga more than Ronaldinho.
I've not heard that he may quit the Brazilian team.... but he went to his manager and begged him not to play against Portugal... "PLEASE BOSS.... I WOULD RATHER NOT PLAY... PORTUGAL IS GOING TO GIVE A THRASHING, PROBABLY AS HIGH A SCORE AS 2-0, AND EVEN THEIR DEFENDER, ONLY A DEFENDER, WILL SCORE A GOAL AGAINST US !" -- Ok, said the his boss and htat is why he did not play. He does not even have the excuse of Ronaldo... Ronaldo was off the field when Portugal put in those two smackers.... Ronaldo isn't everything in the Portugal team !! There are others.... And as for calling Ronaldo a diver.... welll, jealousy comes in all forms, doesn't it ?!
