ok. here's the deal. i just got a new cingular plan and i want to get my boyfriend a razr for valentine's day. now, he's big into the project red phone, but it's only available on the sprint network. i'm NOT willing to switch over to sprint. So if i add a new line to my current plan i can get a razr for free with it. but it won't be red! so i was thinking of perhaps spray painting it with that new plastic-adhering (i think it's krylon) spray paint. and ideas? or tips? anyone ever try it?? or wait, is the razr made of metal?? i'm not a painting expert, so any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

i think of your boyfriend could be satisfied with distinctive colour telephone, as against you ruining it by spraypainting it pink. Get some pink metallic stickers and place on it or hit upon a disguise for it. At the two value, i wouldnt use spray paint that's only too difficult to administration. use metallic acryllic paint if something like interior the craft section. I dont think of the end could tolerate any variety of paint and that i wouldnt advise sanding it off... i could say in case you definitely need it you will might desire to only by the telephone from sprint and have it extra to your cingular account

I wouldn't paint it. Why not go to skinit.com and order a skin for the razr. You can get them in all colors and descriptions. Then you could get another one or 2 so he could trade it out if he gets bored with the red

Spray painting a phone is very bad idea. It will get into the moving parts, clog up the ports and mic/speaker, not to mention voids all warranties. They sell rubber cases (similar to the iPod ones) that are red you could buy.

OMG NO!!!! don't do that.....get a plastic red plastic case for it...or switch out the plates... for SBC/Att who owns Cing. and I sell cing phone daily...there isn't a red one in the works...however.... i can give u info on a great site....http://www.onlyrazr.com/prca.html

not a good idea, just get him a grey razr and get him a red faceplate. go to ebay.com to browse through the faceplates

i've seen people do that before and it looks ugly, why not order a red razor
