Im going with Dirk Nowitzki simply because he is on the best team and he means everything to that team. Phoenix without Nash is way better than Dallas without Dirk. Dirk dominates the game on the offensive end and the glass while now providing solid DEF. Hes one of the few players who can score from anywhere and hes extremely clutch. He swept PHX so far this year (including a game winning jumper). His cast of mates arent that great so I dont understand how people act like hes not doin it alone cause he is. Half the plays for Dallas are iso plays for Dirk. Without him drawing constant doubles and triples Howard and Terry wouldnt ever be open. Nash has Amare/Marion, Arenas has Butler/Jamison, and Kobe has Odom all of whom are better than Howard, Dirk's only real help on the floor. Dirk deserves to win it because of his teams vicotories and the domination he has over them

By far kobe bryant. Kobe is averaging close to 29pts 6 boards and 6 assists a nite on a team where he is the only option nite in and nite out. Nash is overated. The system he is in allows him to put up those numbers. When he was in dallas in another system he wasnt putting up these type of numbers.Dirk is a good canidate and i can't argue y he shouldn't get it but if i had to i would say he shouldn't get IT because he does have solid good players around him.Harris,Terry,Howard,Stackhouse.Not to mention when his team needed him mostlast year in the playoffs, he crumpled, That wouldn't have happened to kobe. It's up 4 debate whether howard/dirk is better than kobe/odom(odom by far is overated), but i will say this howard/dirk/stackhouse/terry/harris/dampier is far better than kobe/odom/parker/walton/bynum/ brown. Also if u take dirk off the mavericks and replace him with stackhouse or van horn, your still gettting a good 20pts and 5 boards a night. You take kobe off the lakers and replace him with any other guard on the team i guareentee u they would have 1 of the worst records in the leaugue, without kobe LA is a jv team, with kobe they r playoff contenders.

Im saying Nash becuase he just gets better and better. Have you watched the Suns without Nash? They're SO clueless. That's the only time when teams cut into the Suns lead when Nash is out. Have you ever reliezed that almost every player to go to the Suns have amazing year/s? Its all because Steve Nash! Dirk has more help than ANYONE in the league (only excecption Steve Nash, but he makes them better) Dirk has Howard(the second most important player on the team behind Dirk. In case you don't know, the Mavs are 18-2 when howard scored at least 20 points this year, scarey since he is averaging 19.5 points a game) Terry (which is probably one of the best players under the radar in the league), Stackhouse (overrated but not bad) and they have all these role players. Howard is easily having an all-star season. Only team that has better role players is probably the Spurs of they're championship days. The reason i really dont like Arenas as MVP is because he hasn't done anything Kobe didn't do last year. The only thing Arenas is doing that Kobe hasn't is averging over 6 assists (which really isnt that impressing.) So what if Arenas had a 60 point game? Kobe had an 81 point game! And it isnt like the Lakers had a losing record last year, they're in the same place as the WIzards right now, if not a little behind. What about Yao Ming?! If he comes back and they're teams wins and he averages a little better numbers he was, then he should defianly be in the talk of MVP. I mean he is already averaging around 26, 10 and 2. He is EASILY the best shooting big man in the game behind Dirk (which should be either number 2 or 3 in the MVP polls) Nash or Dirk should win it because they are the best players on the best teams... but you never know, someone might surprise us and have an amazing rest of the season after the all-star break (umm Dwayne Wade or LeBron anyone?)

Hands Down Steve Nash... Alot of people say Dirk and yeah he is a GREAT Player but... He also has the supporting cast around him. He is the go to guy but he does not make them better. They are there to support him. With Steve Nash he is the one that his teamates count on him not to score but to have him deliver time and time again! He does just that. Steve Nash is the most unselfish guy in the league and he would be the sole reason if he went to any team in the league he would immedietly make them better. Can anybody else do that NO! Here's the proof... Kobe and the lakers... Kobe needs help... Even Jordan had Pippen... (Jordan probably didn't need him but that's another story) Dirk needs his team around him... Nash he needs Boris Diaw???? NO Nash can take any team and use the strengths of the team as it stands to the fullest amount. And That is why Steve Nash is and will be a 3 time MVP this year!

initially, what a participant does interior the playoffs has no touching on the mvp award. i do not imagine they're going to offer it to Nash for a third year in a row, or maybe in spite of the undeniable fact that Kobe did some sensational issues, i imagine it will pass to Dirk, who change into the most perfect participant on the most perfect crew. I accept as true with you that those stands proud because the suitable 3 vote getters.

I was going with Arenas all year but he has lost some serious steam as of late and as of right now I have to agree with your Dirk pick.

Josh Howard and Jason Terry do help him as well.

3 time MVP Steve Nash. He is the best guard in the league and makes the Suns who they are. Without him they'd be no where near as good as they are now. He literaly the Most Valuble Player.
