It's not their fault. The way Medicine is taught and the entire philosophy behind it is flawed. Doctors see patients not as people but as complaints, and pharmaceuticals just cover or suppress the symptoms. GPs are only able to refer you for surgery or offer you drugs, which means the drugs companies are running medicine in the UK and making a killing (not literally.....well....) while the doctors have to put up with patients who want that instant fix.
It's easy to blame the doctors but it's a symptom of a 'free at the point of use' health service. If something's free, it's always open to exploitation by big companies at the expense of those who need it. The idea's sound but.....
I'm NOT a doctor. I'm an Osteopath who treats people every day who have been let down by the system. I wouldn't want to be a doctor because I enjoy getting people better.

I suppose it depends what you see the Dr for.
If you go with a problem that has no cure other than general advice - thats what your going to get.
If you know what to do already from looking on the net - why bother to go to the Dr?

Why do you bother going to the doctor I haven't been for years the surgery is always full of sick people with colds spreading diseases and infections or else it is full of people who have nothing wrong with them just seeking attention.
Stay away from your gp and you will be a lot healthier.

No doctors aren't rubbish - if you don't like the one you have then you can change to a different practice.

They see a lot of people with very little wrong with them. What may seem major to you may be a minor thing you will get over with quick, so doctors get bored or annoyed with people.

it certainly is not just you, think everybody thinks the same,i have gone to a doctor and had to tell HIM the prob and that i needed a blood test, you more or less have to diagnose yourself too.its like you go to a doctor just to confirm your illness.then they just want to give you useless pills.yes i could go on and on.....
also the carry on with hospitals is awful.
