When I got a second whole in my ear they told me not to take it out for atleast 6 weeks. I didn't listen, and I had the worst time of my life trying to get it back in. It takes this long for the skin that just got pierced to heal. So don't touch it for a while. After some time if you take the earring out, the whole doesn't completely close, but it feels like you are piercing it all over again. My mom stopped wearing earrings when she was about 13 and just decided to start wearing them again. She did not have to repierce it, it just hurt her a bit when she put the earring through. Same thing is happening to me now. I haven't worn an earring in my second whole for a couple of months, and while the whole is getting smaller, it has not closed off.

You need to leave the fresh pierced earrings in for 6-8 weeks, plus, it's important you turn the new stud several times during the day for the whole time mentioned.
The hole wont close off as long as you put some earrings or the first studs in for a week here and then.
Do not put in heavy ear rings unless you use the support shield (used behind the ear) with those shields you may wear whatever and wont stretch hole.

I think you're suppose to wear a stud in the peircing for at least 2-3 weeks or something. If you don't, chances are they will close up and really hurt when you try to put an earring into it.

close up..

You need to wear your earings for like 2 months or so until you can take them out or they will close up quickly. Hopefully you got them done at the doctors because places in the mall are unsafe and infectious. In the mall, they use guns and clean they out but they can not get all the cartilage out ofthe gun so when they reshoot it,some of someone elses cartilage can get in your ear and cause infections

until it heals the whole will close up if you don't wear earrings - most heal within about 6 months ... if you wear heaving earrings the hole's will definitely stretch - you don't want that (trust me!) because it will take plastic surgery to fix them.

I would definately keep it in if you like it because it won't heal properly. If you keep taking it out it might get infected
