You and the baby are okay. Although I was pissed about it, my cousin smoked weed the whole time she was pregnant with both her children and by the grace of GOD they were both healthy babies. Im just glad you had the decency to stop!!

Relax! You've stopped so that's the main thing! I just found out last Sunday that I am pregnant and stopped smoking weed (I also smoked everyday) and smoking cigarettes! I have done TONS of research on this and as long as you leave it alone now the baby will be fine. Funny I found quitting the pot easy but am still struggling with the quitting smoking. I've gone from 25 a day to only 2 -3 but I feel so guilty for even smoking those that I just want to completely quit. You've come a long way and the good choices you've made will be rewarded with a healthy happy baby!! Congrats and well done!!!

I definitely DO NOT think you have hurt the baby. In fact, some people smoke it in small amounts to help with nausea. You are worrying for nothing.
That baby is fine, and you are only going to drive yourself crazy over this. DO NOT let the smartasses on here make you scared or worried. People have been smoking weed and having healthy babies since the dawn of time. Drinking is far, far worse for the baby. Cheer up, and no more second guessing yourself!

No, it is not safe- you know this because you asked the question. The first 3 weeks of development are the most crucial because this is when the central nervous system is developing. Children exposed to prenatal drugs and alcohol are more likely to have growth problems, be ADHD, mental retardation and other developmental problems. This is why doctors recommend women stop smoking, using drugs or drinking PRIOR to even becoming pregnant. What worries me is that you seem to indicate you are still smoking pot, as you say you "plan on stopping." You are being very selfish in putting your desires before your child's very life. I have worked with kids who have been damaged prenatally by substance abuse and their lives are not very happy or productive.

No, dear. You did not. The good thing is that once you found out, you stopped. Even though weed is a plant/herbs and all natural, does not mean that it will not harm a life inside you. Just continue to do what you are doing, be healthy!! I smoked weed and I was almost 3 months before I found out and my son was/is fine! Congrads on the pregnancy and good luck!

I used to smoke alot of pot when I was younger and every time I found out that I was pregnant (for the first 3 I was a heavy user in between pregnancies) I quit right away. But I always worried about the development before I found out...but my children that I smoked with before I knew are all well-adjusted and intelligent...I think you should let your doctor know, he is not there to judge but to know all the information to make your pregnancy the healthiest possible.

You've done a great thing by quitting as soon as you found out you are pregnant. Your baby is fine, keep up the good work.

before i found out i was pregnant i had done speed, xtc, coke, shrooms, and drank tons. my baby is perfecly fine. i also smoke cigarettes. so...i think it just has to do with the child. i mean its up to god. but i'm sure your baby is fine. i'm clean now btw and don't even plan on getting drunk ever again. so judge me if you will but people are people and they mess up.
