I've got my first driving lesson next week, and I just know I'm going to be terrible.

You're not going to get very far thinking like that. If you think you'll be terrible, then you WILL be terrible.
Think of it as something exciting, somthing fun. Yes, you'll make mistakes, but we all did when we learnt to drive.
Think positive.

Just drive in your lane at the speed limit and follow the rules. Its really not too hard. The important thing is to know that this is something everyone has to do eventually so it is no biggie. Someday you will look back on it and laugh at how nervouse you got over such an easy thing as driving.

Well, i was going to say alcohol but thats a no, no. Someone on Yahoo answers, recommended, Red Bush Tea. It's great if your restless or nervous. Drink a couple of cups, at night and a couple in the morning. Good luck, let us know, how you got on.

Get hold of a copy of 'Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway' by Susan Jeffers ... and digest it (read, not eat and swallow!), 'Even Eagles Need A Push', or 'Instant Confidence' by Paul McKenna.

Relax your first driving lesson will be very basics. understanding the controls and probably a tiny drive. its much easier then you think. its when you take your test you should be nervous. good luck

My sister was so bad she had to get tablets from her doctor to calm her nerves. Sometimes nerves are good. Good luck.

you will be fine and I'm sure you will be ok..i feel that most on here will give you the support you need the day before you go.if you been on yahoo..your walk it..well best use a car.. you don't need luck just thumbs up..
