My godson's mother got mad at me a couple of weeks ago over some money. I let her borrow some money in December, she said that she would pay me back on January18th. That date came and went so on January21 I text her asking about the money. She called me and was yelling and being totally irrate over $25 dollars. She hung up the phone on me and I haven't talked to her since.
She did allow my godson (little baybee) to call me last friday and we spoke for a couple of minutes before she was telling him to get off the phone. She didn't get on the phone I could hear her in the back ground.
I really want to talk to my little baybee because I miss him. I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks. Would it be rude to call and ask to speak to him not saying anything to her? I know that it probably would be but I can't deal with and only want to check to see how he's doing. Hes 5 years old. Advice please!

You need to decide which is most important to you......the $25 or your godson. I know there's a "principle" involved here, but sometimes you just need to forget it. She knows she owes you $25. There's no point in asking for it again. Call up, and if she answers, talk to her, but don't mention the money at all. Cut your losses and use that as a lesson about who not to loan money to in the future. He's only 5 years old.....if you've been a key player in his life up to now, he needs you to stay there. You need to take the high road here.....Don't let a little cash change that.

Okay, one it is only 25$ does it really matter when she paid you back. And she shouldn't of got all mad over you asking for your
25$. And two if she is going too be that rude then it dose not matter too call to talk to YOUR godson.

it's sad when money comes between friends. call him, he needs to know you care. if she chooses to be angry and unforgiving then there is nothing you can do about it, but that shouldn't mean that you can't talk to your godson. good luck i hope all works out for you.

you should call and tell her you don't want your godson in the middle and you miss him and want to talk to him.
