If you're homeless and destitute, go to a shelter or rescue mission. Otherwise I'd suggest your local Department of Social Services (which may have a different name in your location). They can check into your eligibility for various welfare programs and help you to find a job.
Charities rarely help individual people who just come up and ask for assistance, because it's too easy for an individual to scam them.

go to your local church.... they are always willing to help in any way... food, clothing, anything... iv been in this siuation before... im not religious and i dont attend church anymore... but if you go tey will help you... they will also give you a paper with other resources you can try.... anything helps when your n situations like this hun... good luck... eail me with your results....
