It's tough, but it's possible. You don't say how much your bills are. You don't say if you're working ... I'd say if you write everything down (income and expenses -- including all the little things like coffee or gas) you'll be able to tell how much you can afford. I work fulltim and bring home $375 a week. My husband does one weekend a month in the Guard for $500 a month. That's $2,000 a month. We pay a mortgage, truck payment, all other bills, medical expenses, carry full coverage insurance, our son (19 months) doesn't want for anything. It can be done, but you can't live above your means. Your husband is lucky that he'll be getting help with school. Getting his degree now is going to be a great thing for your family. Good luck.

Somebody HAS to get a job. While I disapprove of day care, you need to get a job.
My daughter & son-in-law are dealing with the matter in a different way. M goes to school & works at a bank on Saturday. K works full time. A is taken care of by M when he's not in class. M's mom takes care of A when he's in class. Some days A gets to go to work with K in the late afternoon. (BTW, A is only 2 months old.)

Can you work? If you don't have friends or family who are willing to help you out by caring for the baby even part time, then see what you can do from home to earn money while caring for your baby. There are stay-at-home moms all over the US that earn a great deal of money while being at home with their children. Just check on the internet for lots of ideas!

can you get a night job? or can he get a job that pays under the table? Maybe you could babysit. Lots of people that work nights look for a good babysitter that they can trust to watch their children
