I have a ghost here (my mom) She likes to play pranks now and then, and sometimes she gets mad and rips the house apart. I chewed her out for that (Felt weird standing in the kitchen telling someone that was not alive anymore to stop it)
But since then, all is good here. Now I get lights being switched off and on, and the TV turning off whenever im watching a ghost show like "Ghost hunters, A Haunting, Most haunted"

We do. When we bought this house, we were told that on Halloween night 1985, the man who lived there was shot through the front door by a "man" dressed as a Ninja. Now, hearing this you as we did would have dismissed it as an urban legend. So, we're moved in settled, and my husband goes to work (in the evening) I'm downstairs in the family room watching TV and getting a fire started, I hear footsteps above my head. I think well he's forgotten something. I called up stairs, walked up half way and noticed no lights on. I called again and didn't get a response. I called his cell phone thinking he went to the bedroom or office and couldn't hear me. He was at work. He came home immediately while I hid in the bathroom downstairs. Since then there have been several instances of footsteps and other weird noises. I have noticed if I leave a light on upstairs in the kitchen or dinning room I usually won't hear them. We decided to check with the city and the records department did have a shooting on file, in our house, in 1985 on Halloween night, in which a young man was killed.

I did live in a house that had multiple ghosts living there with us. The house was very old and there is a ton of history to be told. One of the stories is that it used to be a boading house. They would allow transients to stay in the basement - problem was is that the basement had the tendency to flood up to the first floor when it rained. Many people died from drowning in that basement.

After that, people had the feeling of not being able to breathe when they were down there.

That's just one of the stories from that old house.

I actually saw an apparition in one of the rooms when I was younger. The place was freaking scary!!!

This has never happened to me, but I know several friends/family members who've had these kinds of experiences. Usually these are described as a "presence" in the house rather than ghosts. Some people are just more sensitive to seeing or sensing these kinds of things. Don't be surprised if you encounter other presences besides your mom someday.

I highly doubt it. Honestly, what you describe is one of my biggest fears of an afterlife. I mean, who is afraid of hell when the possibility exists (in some minds) that you'll be trapped for all eternity rearranging brickerbrack, turning off/on appliances and slamming doors in someone's house. Not even enough to truly scare them, just enough to be a petty nuisance--frightening.

Here are some thoughts: problems with your household wiring, electromagnetic fields messing with your appliances or maybe even your perception....any number of things...but not ghosts.

A ghost living in my house? Nope, dead is dead. Dead things can't hurt you because they are dead. To quote the Pythons:

" He's not pinin'! He's passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch he'd be pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the
bucket, he's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!

Parrot or person, dead is dead. End of story. Thank you, drive through. Toodles, go with God and don't take any wooden nickels.
