I'm planning an investigation of a site that is said to have malice spirits haunting it. As well as some sites that have benevelent spirits. Being me, I want to be prepared for whatever may happen. I know of a few people who do or have someone cast a protection spell or protection prayer over them, then I know of some that just use the lord's prayer. Are there any experienced Ghost Hunters or Wiccan's that can give me advice on this subject?

By site I mean actual properties. Houses, lands, business, ect.

The Lord's Prayer is always good say.
I too, have investigated places (I'm a member of The New England Society For Psychic Research) and we always say The Lord's Prayer before going into any of these places.
As a practicing Wiccan (and have been for 20+ years) I always envision a protective circle of white light around me wherever I go and always know that Spirit is with me.

Here is a chant that can be used, it covers all the basic tenets-
Charm of Protection
Repeat three times intially, then once thereafter as needed
“I call the light of golden rays
I seek protection thus I pray.
For heavenly forces at my side
angels, sages spirit guides.
Or wolves with cunning skill,
come to my aid,
come at my will.
Blackbird soaring
light my path
So I am victim to no ones wrath.
And when my journey meets success
All those who aid me
Goddess bless.
So mote it be.

take a bible with u and if u feel as though u are in harms way grip the bible in front of u and ask the lord to defend u dont do a spell but u can ask a coupla friends that arent going to pray 4 u evil spirits dont mess aroud so be careful and have yourself cleansed when u get home have your house blessed the works cause an evil spirit can follow u home if it chooses to they can also possess u so make sure u visit a median (someone who can sense spirits) visit u so u can make sure

You can go to these places without prayer, the thing is its hard to tell if the demon will follow you home or not. I have lived in three haunted houses (demon infested houses). I would say that you have to look at your life and see if anything in your life will attract them like some child abuse or were you ever raped, was there ever a murder in your family or a curse or stronghold, do you have an addiction or long time sin like pornography or drinking, such things will attract demons to you. Demons like things that are bad, especially places were murder, rape and sexual abuse occured and they will inhabit that place.

making your own is the best spell ever.and more ppower too.i dont like giving spells out to ppl.i'd rather them make it own their own.
